CHAMPS Classes at St. Benedict

Preparatory School

While Computers, Health Education, Art, Music, Physical Education and Spanish (CHAMPS)  are taught in the main layer of curriculum, students receive a more frequent and intense study of Computers, Art and Music – in addition to their classroom work.

Operating on a trimester system, St. Benedict Preparatory School alternates Computers, Music, and Art “specials” each trimester, offering elementary students three 40-minute classes per week.  Not only has this system proven to be successful, it practically eliminates the opportunity for students to fall behind in their studies. Should a student miss a day of school, they still receive their trimester “special” two other times that week.
